With the Sirittäjät application, the user learns to recognize the chirping sounds of Finnish grasshoppers and hippopotamus in nature. The voices were recorded by nonfiction author Sami Karjalainen, and most of the apps content also comes from him. The species are briefly told about their habitat, distribution and anecdotal description of vocalization.The application also shows the latest species sightings reported from the Finnish area.
